Review:
I have two daughters so teacher/student books make me cringe. I understand the pull, I had a couple hot teachers in my high school but seriously they were adults and totally off limits. Not that we girls didn't try to flirt with them, they were just immune to our advances.
Dalton is twenty-three and not immune. Especially from Wren the eighteen year old niece of the head-mistress. To his credit Dalton does try to resist but fate just keeps pushing these two together. Oh and they've met before when they were kids but neither one remembers.
Both Wren and Dalton are dealing with the loss of family. Wren's mother, father and brother died in a car crash just under a year ago which Wren survived. Her aunt and uncle took her in and she has been an outcast ever since. She has one friend who is a lesbian and an outcast herself. The other rich girls treat Wren like shit and when Dalton sees it he feels bad for her. Dalton lost his father eight years ago to Huntington's Disease. The same disease that Dalton himself may someday die from. He's been too scared to take the test to find out for sure.
These two are cute together and the obstacles they must overcome are different. It was a good read but if it was set anywhere other than a high school I think I would have liked it better.
